Eunice Covey Huff

June 11, 1924 — July 29, 2019

Eunice “Kit” Huff, 95, went to be with the Lord on July 29, 2019, joining her husband William “Bill” Huff for a joyous reunion!  She was the second of five children born to William and Pearl Covey (nee Day), and the mother of four children with Bill:  Laurie Sylvester (Michael), Brian Huff (Kaiva), Jan Huff, and Amy Adams (Jim).  Kit is lovingly remembered by her eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Born in 1924 in Farmington, Wisconsin, Kit was witness to amazing changes within society during her lifetime.  She was a full-time working woman during the 1950s when the majority of professional jobs were held by men. It was in her position at the National Security Agency where she met her husband-to-be, Bill—she was his boss!  Kit and Bill met the Lord while living in Japan in 1963.  They enthusiastically and unwaveringly lived in His service for the remainder of their lives.  Kit and Bill enjoyed over 52 years of marriage until Bill’s death in 2008.

Kit brought joy and creativity to everything she touched!  She had a deep commitment to her family and friends—reveling in her relationships with her adored grandchildren—as well as to her church family.  Kit enjoyed meeting and hosting missionaries from around the world and immersing herself in bible studies, both as student and teacher.  Kit was also an excellent cook of Asian food, honed during her years spent in Okinawa.  She was a fantastic card player, a talented painter, enjoyed all kinds of family games, and when Kit was younger she played both golf and tennis.  The best gift she ever received?  Probably the baby blue canoe her family presented to her one year.

A memorial service will be held on August 16 at 7:00 pm at Brooklyn Bible Chapel, 502 Jack Street, Baltimore, MD 21225.
