Eston E.(Pete) Pack, 83, of Odenton passed away peacefully on June 15th, 2025 with his sons by his bedside. Pete suffered a stroke on 6/13 that he never recovered from, unfortunately.

Pete was born in 1941 in rural southwestern Virginia to Fletcher and Jessie Pack. He was the 5th oldest out of 12 children. Pete grew up on a farm and did more in the hours prior to going to school than most other kids did the entire week.

After finishing his schooling, Pete joined the Air Force in 1960 and was stationed in a variety of locations, including a remote post in Anchorage, Alaska. It was when he got stationed at the base in Miles City, Montana that he ended up meeting the love of his life, Sherry. After a short courtship, they were married in December of 1964. They left Montana shortly after their wedding and drove cross country to Virginia, where his family lived. After a short time in Virginia, they then ended up moving to Florida where Pete and Sherry had their two sons, Terry & Kelly.

Pete worked for Mercedes Benz for 35 years, retiring in 2000. While working for Mercedes in Florida, he was given the opportunity to transfer to Maryland. He brought his family to Maryland in 1972 and has lived there since then.

Pete lost his wife of 56 years in 2021 to cancer. He made it a priority to visit Sherry at the cemetery every weekend without fail until his death. He would bring a comfortable chair and sit with his wife at her gravestone and catch her up on the prior weeks happenings.

Pete made his children, grandchildren and eventually great grandchildren his highest priority. It was not uncommon for him to drive hundreds of miles in a weekend to watch his kids and eventually grandkids participate in a variety of sports and activities.Once the kids were older and had moved out he got to concentrate on his passion, his beautifully landscaped yard. He spent hours upon hours making sure everything looked beautiful.

Pete was preceded in death by his wife Sherry, his parents, his older siblings Sadie, Mildred and Herbert.

He is survived by his sons, Terry Pack of Odenton and Kelly Pack (Kristy) of Glen Burnie. His brothers Johnny Pack of Archer, FL, Donald Pack (Ina) of Radford, Va, Butch Pack (Marsha) and Clifton Pack (Helen), both from Dublin, Va. His sisters Linda (Billie) Andrews, India Wilson and Wanda Jones, all from Pulaski, Va. and Barbara (Bobbie) Weddle (Junior) of Radford, Va. His grandchildren Dalton (Kirsten), Tanner, Riley, Fletcher and Eden Pack and his great grandchildren Braelyn, Croix, Easton, Bodhi and Sienna Pack. Additionally, Pete is survived by several nephews and nieces spread out all over the country.

Pete is also survived by his 4 legged little girl Daisy…
