On February 15, 2015, U.S. Army Sergeant Major (ret.) Elmer Clinton King Jr.(79), known as E.C. or King by his family and friends, passed away surrounded by his loving family, after a long battle due to Agent Orange poisoning in Vietnam.  Born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on January 27, 1936, Elmer resided in Severn, Maryland, since 1979.  Devoted husband of 56 years to Betty “Frankie” King (nee Sexton); Beloved father of Kathleen Querry, Cynthia Hedrick, Mark King, Jennifer, King and Patricia (PJ) Euson. He is also survived by one daughter-in-law, four sons-in-law, 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  Elmer is predeceased by his parents, Elmer Sr. and Opal Clarke and his brother James.

Elmer proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army.  After retiring, he then worked as an Insurance Agent.   Elmer loved to play golf, enjoyed going to the casino and was an avid reader.
