Elizabeth Susan Halweg

Elizabeth S. Halweg, “Betsy” a resident of Odenton, MD, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at her home. She was 61.  Betsy was born on February 09, 1959 in Washington, D.C. and was the daughter of Charlotte (nee Ward) Smith and the late Arthur Smith.

Betsy's career expanded over 30 years with the USDA. She touched the heart of everyone she was around with her smile, kindness and outgoing beautiful personality. She loved to travel, experience the world, and especially enjoyed relaxing on the beach. But most of all her passion was spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She was and forever will be loved.

Betsy is survived by her beloved husband, William Halweg of Beltsville, MD; loving daughter, Meagan Kogan of Odenton; devoted brother, Larry Smith of Des Moines, IA; two cherished grandchildren, Callen Michael Kogan and Harley Grace Dawson.

The family will receive friends at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD 21113 on Sunday, October 4, 2020 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.  A Memorial service will be held at 1:00pm. Interment will be private
