Elizabeth Louise (Brockwell) Thompson

Elizabeth Louise Thompson, a resident of Odenton, MD, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the Crofton Care & Rehabilitation Center, in Crofton, MD. She was 85. Elizabeth was born on December 14, 1931 in Richmond, VA, and was the daughter of the late Charles Haywood Brockwell and Lucille (nee Southern) Brockwell.

Elizabeth, better known as Betty Lou, was passionate about her family and friends. She had many life-long friends that she cherished and spent time with as much as possible. Betty Lou enjoyed being with her large family of children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Betty Lou is survived by her dear devoted companion, Robert Bonuccelli of Odenton, MD; four loving children, Mark Thompson of Annapolis, MD, Eric Thompson of Annapolis, MD, Monica DiCamillo and husband, Dante of Odenton, MD and Russell Thompson and wife Terri of White Marsh, MD; eight beloved grandchildren, Jennifer Mattei, James Thompson, Michelle Gutierrez, Ryan DiCamillo, Casey Thompson, Patrick Thompson, Elizabeth Mattei and Garrett Thompson; eight cherished great grandchildren, Riley DiCamillo, Isabelle Gutierrez, Olivia DiCamillo, Natalie DiCamillo, Juliana Gutierrez, Victoria Gutierrez, Grace Thompson and James Gutierrez. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband, John Vernon “Tommy” Thompson and daughter, Stephanie Mattei.

The family will receive friends at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD 21113 on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm & 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church, 1070 Cecil Avenue, South Millersville, MD 21113. Interment will follow to Maryland Veterans Cemetery Crownsville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Crofton Care & Rehabilitation Center, Attn: Leisure Fund, 2131 Davidsonville Road, Crofton, MD 21114.
