Eileen P. Barger

Eileen P. Barger (nee Riddell) of Gambrills, MD, passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at her residence. Eileen was born on November 3, 1924 in England and was the daughter of the late Arthur Lionel and Ellen (nee Eggleton) Riddell. Eileen lived in Maidenhead, England and served in the English Army, ATS during WWII. At the end of the war she came to the U.S. and established residence in Maryland. She pursued several different careers; her favorite was teaching reading to children at Mrs. Zink's School at Maiden Choice Lane. She also enjoyed painting with watercolors.

She is survived by her devoted husband, William R. Barger; her beloved children; Michael, Alvina, Robert, Gary and Jack; daughters in law and one son in law and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving in England are brother Robert and niece Jackie. Eileen was predeceased by her sister June.
