Edith Jean Search of Jessup, MD, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2015 at her residence, at the age of 73. Jean was born on July 17, 1941 in Washington, DC to the late William Howard Sheckels and Edith Marie (Thompson) Sheckels.
Jean is survived by her five children, Donna J. Ivey, Michael D. Johnson, Mary E. Perticari, James A. Johnson, Jr. and Tina J. Kempf; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sister, Janet Marie Divver and two brothers, Frederick William Sheckels and Charles Robert Sheckels. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Frederick Search and her brother, William Sheckels.
The family will receive friends at Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD 21113 on Sunday, February 8, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. A committal service will be held at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham, MD at 1:45 p.m.
