Edgar "Eddie" Garcia

On March 22, 2014, Edgar R. Garcia of Odenton, previously of Crofton, passed away. Survived by his children Judied L. Garcia (New Jersey), Lizmarie Garcia (New Jersey), Edgar Garcia Jr. (New Jersey), Edgar D. Garcia (Puerto Rico)and Yarelis Garcia (Puerto Rico); his mother Lydia Leon & husband Daniel Alvarodo (Puerto Rico); his siblings David Garcia and wife Yoli (Florida) and Nancy Cruz (Florida); nephews David, Brandon, and Shaeleen Garcia and dear friends Vanessa and Luis Garcia (Odenton); Cherished grandfather of 11. He was predeceased by his father Rafael Garcia.

Eddie proudly served as a member of the United States Navy from 1984 to 1991 and was in the reserves until 2010. He worked in quality assurance for the Republic National Distributing Company. An outdoorsman, he loved hiking, kayaking and running. Eddie was also an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Yankees and the Giants. He also liked watching TV and had a special interest in history. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc.,1850 York Road, Suite D, Timonium, MD 21093.
