Dora A. Lawrence

On January 17, 2014, Dora "Dottie" Ann Elizabeth Lawrence passed away. Born on March 19, 1929 in Pennsylvania, Dottie lived in Columbia since 1971 and in Washington, D.C. prior to that. Beloved wife of 61 years to Charles "Pete" Lawrence Sr.; Loving mother of Charles Jr. and his wife Ruby of Georgia and Denise Grassel of Odenton; Caring sister of Marcella Taylor or Pennsylvania and Pearl Hager of Florida; Cherished grandmother of Charles Lawrence III and Keith and Bryce Grassel. She was predeceased by 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Dottie worked at the Pentagon for the U.S. Air Force, after which she was a dedicated employee for the Howard County School System for 20 years before retiring. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and going to the casino. Dottie will be remembered most for her humming and for hugging everyone.
