Dollie M. Baldwin of Nottingham, MD passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025, at 74 years old.
Born on November 13, 1950, in Bluefield, WV, Dollie attended Park Central High School. She served as head cheerleader and majorette, showcasing her early love for performing. Her talent and passion for dancing took her to New York City, where she performed with several dance troupes, including the Rockettes.
Dollie later moved to Washington, D.C., where she held many roles throughout her life. She worked as an assistant to the mayor, ran her own modeling company, and served as a mortician. Later in life, she earned an associate’s degree in early childhood development from Virginia Western Community College and became a teacher, dedicating herself to guiding and nurturing young children.
Above all, Dollie was most proud of her role as a mother and grandmother. She is survived by her two daughters, three sons, twenty-one grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother and a sister.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, and a daughter.
Dollie will be remembered for her devout faith, infectious laughter, generosity, and her love for the color pink.
