Divyanshu Ramendra Jha passed away peacefully, at the age of 84, on Saturday, March 15th, 2025. Divyanshu was born and raised in Ahmedabad, India but spent most of his life in Owings Mills, Maryland. Divyanshu was an electrical engineer who worked in both private (IBM) and public (Baltimore County Government) sectors before finally retiring in 2009. Divyanshu loved financial news and sports. He was an avid Maryland sports fan, cheering on the Orioles and Ravens during their respective seasons. He was also a proud fan of the Indian cricket team and was excited about the recent Indian ICC Champions Trophy victory. Divyanshu was also a very religious man who had complete faith in God. He is survived by his beautiful wife of 55 years, Kalpana. They built a wonderful life together full of friends and family.
Divyanshu also leaves behind his brother and sister-in-law, Manvendra and Krutika Jha, and sister and brother-in-law, Bhavya and Shailesh Dave. He is predeceased by his sisters Kaumudi Majmunder and Jayshree Jha. Divyanshu was a much loved kaka, mama, fua, and masa. He was respected and revered by his nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. His smile was infectious, and he had a rare gift of making others smile and laugh as he shared his countless stories. He especially loved friendly debates with family members.
Services will be held at Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. in Odenton on Saturday March 22nd, 2025 from 11 am to 1 pm.
