Denise Marie (Stashick) Hedgepeth

Denise Marie Hedgepeth, a resident of Odenton, MD, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at the age of 53. Denise was born on August 6, 1964 in Washington, D.C. to the late Joseph and Janet (Smetana) Stashick.

Denise loved to visit local farms to pick her own fruits and vegetables and would often be found in the kitchen canning or baking. Denise taught religious classes at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, one in Odenton, Maryland, as an adult and in Beltsville, Maryland, as a young adult.

Denise enjoyed watching HGTV and The Food Network with her family and then trying out new recipes. Next to watching her favorite programs, she enjoyed playing games with her family as well.

Denise was a devoted wife and mother to her two children. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, David Hedgepeth; her children Sean and Amanda; her siblings Karen Baker, Joseph Stashick, and Anthony Stashick (and his wife Dorothy); three nieces, Teresa Baker, Monica Baker, and Samantha Stashick; her in-laws, Samuel and Rebecca Hedgepeth; her brother-in-law Samuel Hedgepeth III; two aunts, Emily Levandosky and Eleanor Stashick; and one uncle, William Smetana. Denise was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Rodney Hedgepeth.
