Deborah Jean Perkins Pruett, a resident of Jessup, MD, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD, at the age of 61. Deborah was born on January 13, 1951 in Greenville, NC and is the daughter of Hilda (DeMent) Perkins and the late John T. Perkins.

Deborah is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Curtis K. Pruett of Jessup, MD; loving daughter and her husband, Emily and Father Richard Armstrong of Powell, TN; devoted son, Brian Pruett of Jessup, MD; cherished grandchildren, Catherine, Nicholas, Alexander, Teresa, Elizabeth, Anna and Gregory Armstrong of Powell, TN; three dear sisters, Evelyn O'Connor (Michael Sr.), Melissa Caudle (Larry) and Jonny Sue Perkins-Snyder (Don).

A Memorial Service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at the West Chapel, University of Maryland, College Park, MD. A funeral service will be held at Noon on Friday, December 28, 2012 at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh, NC.

Debbie was passionate about love of family and driven to help others everywhere in a friendly, compassionate manner. Her coworkers at the University of Maryland universally agree that she never had anything bad to say or a complaint to share in more than ten years of assisting students.
