Daniel Rupert Bell

Daniel Rupert Bell, a resident of Severn, MD, passed away suddenly on Monday, May 19, 2025, at his home. He was 57. Daniel was born on December 12, 1967, in Cheverly, MD and was the son of Francis Augustine Bell and Carol (nee Larue) Bell.

Daniel graduated from High Point High School in Beltsville, Maryland and went on to earn a degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park. He cherished time spent with family and friends, and proudly coached his sons in basketball and soccer throughout their elementary school years. Daniel enjoyed trips to the beach, gaming and telling his signature dad jokes. A generous and compassionate person, he was a regular blood donor with the American Red Cross and volunteered with the Anne Arundel County SPCA, where he loved walking dogs. He will be deeply missed by his wife, sons, family and friends.

Along with his parents, Daniel is survived by his beloved wife, Lisa Bell; loving sons, Noah and Nathan Bell; devoted siblings, Joe and Dave Bell; brother-in-law, Jeff Ruth; sister-in-law, Shannon Davidson; 4 cherished nieces, Alexis, Olivia and Kylie Davidson, Laura Bell; In-laws, Joe and Arlene Ruth; and a host of wonderful cousins.

The family will receive friends at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD 21113 on Friday, May 23, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, 11:30 am at Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church, 1070 Cecil Avenue S, Millersville, MD 21108. Interment will be private.
