Clarice Ellis Mangaser

Clarice Ellis Mangaser, beloved wife of Crispulo Mangaser, passed away peacefully at the University of Maryland Medical Center on November 13, 2025. She was 93.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, on August 7, 1932, Clarice was the daughter of the late Harry and Maderia Ellis. Clarice was the devoted mother of Alvin; caring sister of Edna; cherished grandmother of Alvin “AJ,” Amber, Marissa, Rasaan, and Clarence “Little Stormy”; and the adoring great-grandmother of Alvin “Vin,” Jaxson, Remi, and Roman.

She was predeceased by her son, Clarence “Stormy,” and her sisters Maxine and Bessie. Clarice leaves behind many relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

Clarice and Crispulo first met while dating in college, reuniting many years later to build a beautiful life together. Known for her low-key, chill demeanor, Clarice found joy in maintaining a warm and welcoming home for her family. Family-oriented, she treasured every moment spent with her loved ones. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and found simple joy in playing the slot machines, a pastime that always brought a smile to her face. Her gentle presence, steadfast love, and calming spirit will be remembered always.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Spring Arbor of Crofton.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Clarice’s name may be made to the charity of your choice.
