Charles Joseph Ambrogio

On February 22, 2022, Charles Joseph Ambrogio, Sr., beloved husband of Olivia Jean (nee Jett) Ambrogio; devoted father of Charles Joseph Ambrogio, Jr and Christopher James Ambrogio passed peacefully at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie, MD at the age of 79.

Chuck, as he was known to most, was born on February 24, 1942 to Charles Ambrogio and Mary De Cicco in Manhattan, NY.  After graduating Xavier High School in 1959, Chuck enlisted in the US Army and became a Military Police Officer in the Sentry Dog Program.  He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served tours in Panama, Korea, Germany, and Italy.  After 27 years of service, Chuck retired having obtained the rank of Master Sergeant.

Chuck had many hobbies, but he was most passionate about O-gauge model railroading, bowling, poker, and anything celebrating his Italian heritage.  He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, but he most enjoyed time with his grandchildren Chase Donovan Ambrogio and Kayla Brooke Ambrogio.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel, 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, Md. 21113 on Saturday, March 05, 2022 at 11AM. Interment will take place at the Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that a donation be made in his honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
