Catherine M. Lynch

Catherine "Kaye" Lynch, 64, a resident of Severn, died December 21, at Georgetown University Hospital after a nine year battle with kidney cancer.

She was born May 28, 1946 in Broxburn, Scotland to the late John and Mary Wilson.

Kaye became a proud U.S. citizen in 1996. She enjoyed being active and, until recently, kayaked, swam, cycled and gardened. She treasured the time spent involved with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Derek Morgereth.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Lynch; three daughters Gwen Gilliard (Kevin) of Pasadena, Jill Knauer (Bryan) of Gambrills and Danielle Teel (Marc) of McKinney, Texas; two sons, Bill Lynch (Patricia) of Cape St. Claire, Andrew Lynch (Laura) of Gambrills, and nine grandchildren.

Kaye also leaves three brothers, Jim Wilson, Jack Wilson (Ena) in Scotland and George Wilson (Deborah) in Australia; and many nieces and nephews including Heather Potochar of Bel Air.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, December 31, 10-11 a.m. at Nichols-Bethel United Methodist Church, 1239 Murray Road, Odenton, MD , 21113, where services will begin at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Georgetown Lombardi Office of Development, In memory of Catherine "Kaye" Lynch, 3300 Whitehaven St. N.W. Suite 4000, Washington, D.C. 20007.
