Carolyn Lorraine (Redwine) Frend

On July 14, 2025, Carolyn L. Frend passed away after a courageous battle with lung disease. She was affectionately known as “Lynn” to her friends, and “Cupcake” to her husband. Born in the District of Columbia, Carolyn lived in Severn for over 30 years. Devoted wife of James “Jim” Frend for 39 years; beloved mother of Jimmy Frend; caring sister of Marie Harbison, Dolores Redwine, Hazel Redwine, Bruce Redwine Jr., and Thomas Redwine; cherished grandmother of Jordan Frend. She was predeceased by her parents Bruce Sr. and Sandra Redwine.

Carolyn worked as a Medical Billing Manager for Dr. Rasul, a Washington, D.C. Cardiologist, for over 20 years. A friend to all animals, she spoiled her four dogs and even rescued an abandoned squirrel. Carolyn enjoyed shopping for bargains and also loved family vacations at Ocean City.  Most especially, she loved spending time with her grandson.
