Brent Alexander Whittaker, of Shady Side, Maryland, passed away unexpectedly in the early hours of Friday, February 24th, 2017. He was 34 years old. Brent was born on November 4th, 1982 in Norfolk, VA, and was the son of Desha McNeeley and Thomas Whittaker.
Brent loved the beach, fishing, crabbing, boating, and riding his motorcycle. A graduate of Arundel High School, Brent worked as a fire protection inspector for 16 years. Brent was a friend to all and would do anything for anybody. He loved his family and friends dearly.
Brent is survived by his daughter, Brianna Nicole Whittaker, and son Evan Michael Whittaker, of Edgewater, MD, as well as, their mother, Arly Lee Whittaker; beloved mother, Desha McNeeley of Gambrills, MD; father, Thomas Whittaker of Baltimore, MD; loving grandparents, James and Maxine Silvea of Columbia, MD; lifetime partner, Leah Beth Baker of Shady Side, MD; devoted brother and sister in law, Ryan and Kelsey McNeeley of Odenton, MD; caring sister and brother in law, Morgan and Andrew Soares of Crofton, MD; and his two nieces, Raelyn Margaret Soares, and Bailee Marie Soares. Brent is also survived by many cousins, extended family, and great friends.
