Brenda Kaye Hook

Brenda Kaye Hook of Odenton, MD, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at her home. She was 71. Brenda was born on April 09, 1952 in Fairbanks, Alaska and was the daughter of the late John Henry Hook and Nora Johnson Hook.  Survived by her devoted sister, Linda Kaye Hook and other caring family members.

Brenda attended Arundel High School and University of Maryland where she majored in biochemistry. She worked as a laboratory medical technologist until she became a laboratory supervisor and then ultimately Hospital Administrator of many laboratories.  Brenda recently returned to Odenton, MD from Abingdon, MD, which was near her work.

Brenda loved to be outside and tending to her flower gardens. Nothing made her more happy. She played the guitar and piano and could sing harmony with anyone. Brenda was an avid Orioles fan. She mastered crossword puzzles. She also loved to watch dog shows.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 9, 2024, from 12 pm to 2 pm. A service will be held at 2 pm.  Interment will be private.
