Billy G. Sells

Billy Grey Sells, 90, of Gambrills, Maryland, passed away quietly Monday, November 26, 2018.

Billy was born March 16, 1928 in Livingston, Tennessee to Carson Robert Sells and Mary Price Moore Sells.  Billy met Betty Louise Webb, the love of his life, and married on February 19, 1948.

Billy proudly served 22 years in the United States Air Force achieving rank of Master Sergeant. After his service, Billy worked 16 years at Fort George G. Meade and retired as Supervisor of Grounds Maintenance.

As a reader and learner, Billy was particularly interested in history and genealogy, proudly collecting artifacts of his kin. His other hobbies included golf and maintaining and displaying model trains.

Billy is survived by his wife of 70 years, Betty Louise Sells, son William Lynn Sells and wife Norena, sisters Virginia Hester and Jolene Christian, grandchildren Christopher Sells, Sarah Crouse (Matthew), Matthew Crook (Mollie), Michael Crook (Stephanie), Wesley Sells, and nine great-grandchildren, Michael, Marissa, Madison, Memphis, Sophia, Matthew, Mylie, Josh and Kelsey.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Carson and Mary Sells, brother Robert C. Sells and sister Maxine Hunter.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1411 Annapolis Rd, Odenton, MD, on Monday, December 3, 2018, from 10:30 AM.-12:30 PM. with service at 12:30 PM.  Interment with military honors following at Maryland Veterans Cemetery at Crownsville, 1122 Sunrise Beach Rd, Crownsville, MD. service at 1:45 PM.
