Bernice Jane Madison

Bernice Jane (Audette) Madison 82, of Catonsville, MD died peacefully surrounded by her family on December 31, 2018. She was born on September 2, 1936 in Attleboro, Massachusetts, to Cedeaus and Edna (Gabaree) Audette. Bernice was the sister of the late John Pierce, Edward Audette, Clifford Audette and Ruth Long.

Bernice received her education in the Attleboro public school system before pursuing her career as a nurse. She worked at Roger Williams General Hospital in Providence RI until her retirement in 1995. In 1996 she relocated to Maryland to be with her children and worked for HealthSouth until 2005.

She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her good friends Bert and Joan, attending jazz concerts, spending time with her family and reminiscing about the good times.   She was an avid fan of Willie Nelson.

Bernice is survived by her children Frederick Ruffin Jr. (Leslie), David Ruffin and Denise Ruffin, 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, her beloved sister Evelyn Juckniewitz of Margate Florida, a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
