Our beloved darji, Sardar Balkar Singh Ghuman, a resident of Bowie, MD, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Doctor's Community Hospital in Lanham, MD. He was 91. He leaves behind a lasting legacy and a family with three sons, one daughter, six grandchildren, and a wife of 67 years.
A Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD 21113 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm.
On Saturday, July 2, 2016 at the Gurdwara Temple, 12917 Old Columbia Pike, Silver Spring, MD 20904, Kirtan Program in Darji's memory will be held from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm followed by Langar (Community Meal) at Guru Nanak Foundation of America. We are celebrating his life so no restrictions on colors.
