Arthur "Art" L. Hickey

On April 6, 2023, Arthur “Art” Leonard Hickey of Gambrills passed away at the age of 75. Devoted husband of almost 40 years to Barbara Ann Vincent Hickey; beloved father of Heather A. Hickey (partner Michael Knox) and Ashley E. Hickey (partner Lucas Swank); caring brother of Mary Metzker, William J. Hickey and the late John F. Hickey IV; cherished grandfather of Madison E. Beachel, Austin L. Hickey, Collin J. Boonie, and one grandson on the way Hunter M. Swank.  Art is also survived by his loving nephews and nieces: Lisa Tenney, Leslie Kopelson, Kimberly David, Megan Crigger and Jonathan Hickey.

Art proudly served his county as a member of the United States Army. He worked as an automotive mechanic and enjoyed working on cars and riding his motorcycle.  An outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time in Florida.  Most especially, he loved spending time with his children and great-grandchildren.
