Arliene Joyce Anderson

On March 17, 2025, Arliene Joyce Anderson went home to be with the Lord. She was 85. A resident of Severn, Arliene was born and raised in Maryland. She met her future husband Gary while he was training at Ft. Meade while in the U.S. Air Force.  Arliene visited him in Italy where he was stationed, and they started a three-year courtship before marrying. They were married for 45 years at the time of her passing. She bred and showed Dalmatians for many years. Arliene and Gary belonged to the American Legion Post #276 and Old Glory Hog Chapter. At the age of 80, she rode on her husband’s Triglide to Sturgis, stopping in North Dakota to spend time with family. An accomplished singer, Arliene belonged to the La Camerata Nuove and performed all over the world with her husband.  When she wasn’t traveling, she enjoyed gardening and knew which wild plants were edible. Most especially, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Devoted wife of 45 years to Gary N. Anderson; beloved mother of Ginger L. Kelley, Jennifer L. Perez, and James C. Parker Jr.; caring step-mother of Stacie M. Anderson; cherished grandmother of Christopher, Timothy, Jimmy, Rachel, Hannah, Vanessa, Anthony, Donovan, and Brittany. She is also survived by many loving great-grandchildren and dear friends.
