Anusha (Arumugam) Sirithara
November 10, 1949 — August 18, 2017
Dr. Anusha Sirithara (Arumugam), beloved mother of Menaka, mother-in-law of Alex, and doting grandmother of Robert Ajay passed away peacefully on August 18th, 2017 in Towson, MD due to complications from Neuroendocrine Small Cell Cervical Cancer. She was 67 years old. Dr. Sirithara was born in Jaffna, Sri Lanka on November 10, 1949 to the late Kanapathypillai Arumugam and Kanagampa Velluppillai Arumugam. She attended Methodist College and graduated with her medical degree from University of Colombo in 1974. Dr. Sirithara immigrated to the United States in 1975, where she practiced internal medicine for more than 40 years within the greater Baltimore area at Harbor Hospital, Union Memorial Hospital, Upper Chesapeake Hospital, Jai Medical Center and St. Joseph’s Medical Center. She will be greatly missed by all.
