Annie Louise Britt of Hanover, MD, formerly of Hyattsville, MD, peacefully entered into eternal life on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 with her family at her side, at the home of her daughter and son in law after an extended illness.
Annie is survived by her children, Raphael A. Britt of Baltimore, MD and Rebecca L. Britt-Laughery and her husband, Sam of Hanover, MD; Special mother of Kimberly (Robert); six grandchildren, Tanecia, Charles Jamal (CJ),Cheyanna, Seisa, Raphael Jr. and Reginald Britt; step-grandmother of Sydney and Samaria; great grandmother of Zanadia; brother, John H. Smith of Fairmont Heights, MD; devoted cousins, Mary Alice Bostic, Delores Hart, Linda Riddick and a host of relatives, friends and co-workers. Annie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard Allen Britt, son, Charles M. Britt and brother, David A. Smith, Jr.
The family will receive friends at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD 21113 on Monday, June 13, 2011 from 10am to 12pm. A Funeral Service will be held at 12pm. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Highway, Annapolis, MD 21401 or the American Cancer Society, 636 West Lexington Street, Baltimore, MD 21201-1508.
