Angela Tovar

The world lost a beloved mother, Angela Tovar on June 27, 2021.  She was born in Bogota, Colombia, S.A. on August 2, 1933 to the late Aristides and Maria Tovar.  She passed away on June 27, 2021 at the age of 87. Angela was preceded in death by her beloved husband Luis F. Quintero; her children Luis F. Quintero and Ana E. Lehman and her siblings Alfonso Tovar, Leon Tovar and Maria Helena Tovar de Rios. She is survived by and will be greatly missed by her loving children; Carlos E. Quintero, Angela Quintero-Prieto, Ricardo A. Quintero, Carolina A. Ocampo and Alejandro A. Quintero as well as her dear siblings; Carmen, Ana, and Alicia Tovar.  Angela is also survived by 17 grandchildren; Andres, Ximena, Luis F., Felipe, Karen, Ana Maria, Jaime, Diego, Daniel, Sebastian, Luis A., Julian, Diana, Adriana, Cristina, David, Andrea, and 5 great grandchildren. Angela was always full of joy, warm, caring, and very proud of all her children and grandchildren. Throughout her life she was very energetic, and even til the end, was very positive, youthful, and strong. She was always exceptionally giving and was a beacon of unconditional love and wisdom to all her family.  She enjoyed traveling, biking, reading, doing crossword puzzles, along with collecting small, cute, porcelain angel dolls. She enjoyed informative TV shows like the Wheel of Fortune, and loved the Price is Right. She also stayed very close to her spiritual side by being a devout Christian, attending mass often, devoting herself to the church, and following in Christ’s footsteps. Angela will be forever deeply missed by all her family and anyone who got the chance to know her.
