Angela Mae "Angie" Miller-Marshall

May 28, 1976 — February 22, 2012

Angela Mae Miller-Marshall and unborn son, Channing Marshall of Owings Mills, MD, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Northwest Hospital. Only 35 years of age, Angie was born on May 28, 1976 in Baltimore, MD, the loving daughter of David Charles Miller, Sr., and Belinda Jean (Ammons) Miller, both of Owings Mills, MD and both who survive her.

Angela spent much of her young life in Baltimore; her and her 2 brothers living just doors away from her loving paternal grandparents, Rose and Bob Archer. As a child, each Sunday was dedicated to family. Her maternal grandmother, Audrey Ammons, also known as "Nanny", prepared and served a big family dinner attended by all of her children and grandchildren. This Sunday "family meal sharing" is a tradition, Belinda, Angela's mother, still carries out today. Angie attended St. Benedicts, and later, the Madonna elementary and middle schools in Baltimore City. After a move to Owings Mills in 1991 when she was 15, Angie attended and graduated from Owings Mills High School. Angie attended her younger brother's wrestling matches and her older brother's baseball games. She was a bridesmaid at her brother David's wedding & remains the best of friends with her sister-in-law, Olivia. After graduation, Angie pursued nursing as a career, and received her CNA. After working many years at Chimes, servicing the developmentally challenged population, she eventually migrated to Anne Arundel County for a position at Arundel Lodge where she began her career in working with "seniors with co-occurring medical and psychiatric illnesses". Angie's career started on the "bottom rung of the ladder" as a Rehabilitation Specialist. She worked evenings, nights, overnights, and weekends. She worked hard and diligently to eventually obtain the position of Assistant Senior Program Manager, and as of October, 2010, she was promoted to Manager of the Senior Program. She directly supervised an assistant manager, up to 22 rehabilitation staff, provided "hands on" direct care for up to 24 clients, and managed 4 individual rehab homes. She oversaw a budget that was over one million dollars yearly plus assisted with development and implementation of an additional $70,000.00 grant from DHMH. In 2001, Angie met the love of her life, Alan Marshall, a police officer with the city of Annapolis. They married in 2009. A wonderful mother, devoted to her children, she was often, in her spare time, involved in her children's activities. Classwork , homework, science projects, and sports. These activities included but were not limited to track, football, t-ball, dance, & performances by The Chipmunks and Poke'Mon. Angie loved to have a good time-whether visiting Atlantic City for a tiny bit of gambling, bowling, or shopping for clothes; especially shoes & high heeled boots. She was often teased her about her choice of footwear; she'd never be able to run from or chase after her children in some of her boots!

Angie is survived by her beloved husband, Alan Lee Marshall III of Owings Mill, MD; three beautiful children, Alexus Oler, 14, Christopher Oler, 10, and Brayden Marshall, 4, all of Owings Mills; her husband's parents, Alan Lee Marshall, Jr., and wife Teresa, of Cape Coral, FL; two devoted brothers, David Charles Miller, Jr., and William John Miller, both of Finksburg, MD; her sisters-in-laws and friends, Olivia Miller of Finksburg and Lauren Price of Bowie, Md.; Kristen White and husband, Michael of Raleigh, NC; four nieces, Kaitlyn Miller, Sara Miller, Natalie Miller and Kinsey White; and one nephew, William Miller.

Angie was loved by her extended family of multiple aunts and uncles; Robert and Kenny Miller of Baltimore, and Bill Archer of Glen Burnie. John Darpino of Essex. Donald Ammons of Salt Lake City, Utah, Noreen Ammons of Baltimore, Ranae and John Sewell of Catonsville, Stuart and Michelle Ammons, Michelle Whipple & Mike White, Mary and Jim Campbell, all of Severn. Angie was predeceased by her loving aunt, Linda Darpino. She is survived by her cousins, all of whom were close to each other; Missy, Lisa, Karri, Mark, Chris, Kimberly, Audrey, Nicole, Donald, Steven, Daniel, Stuart (Wally), Jamie, & Brittany, Dorian, and John. She has many, many second cousins, co-workers, and a multitude of friends. She will be so missed by all.
