Alfred Paul "Fred" Vasco

Alfred Paul "Fred" Vasco, Jr. of Laurel, MD, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Laurel Regional Hospital in Laurel, MD, at the age of 67. Fred was born on August 27, 1944, in Washington, D.C. to the late Alfred Paul Vasco, Sr. and Mary Christine (Aufieri) Vasco.

Fred enjoyed NASCAR, was a Lifelong Washington Redskins Fan and had a loving passion for his cats. He was a member of the Sons of The American Legion, Post 60, and The Moose. He loved his neighbors and served as part of the neighborhood watch.

Fred is survived by his wife of 20 years, Edith Lee Vasco; step-son, Robert Dale Barnhill and his wife, Jeanne of St. Leonard, MD; two grandchildren, Rebekah and Patrick; his sister, Christine Vasco Knight and her husband, Kurt of Annapolis, MD; a niece, Tracy Knight and two nephews, Danny Hyatt and Tony Knight.
