Stephen Thomas Craddick of Severn, MD passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at his residence, at the age of 52.  Stephen was born on September 8, 1964 in Detroit, Michigan to William Wallace Craddick and Maureen Louise (Hempstead) Craddick of Garden City, Michigan.

Stephen served 20 years in the United States Navy; and 15 years as a government employee.  Both careers were filled with many accomplishments.  He enjoyed helping others when he could; and felt proud when he heard of their successes.  Stephen overflowed with joy upon receiving an award; or any form of recognition for his dedicated work ethic. When not at work he enjoyed baking for his family and coworkers.  He was an exemplary father and husband.  Stephen also enjoyed reading, world music and anything involving the computer.  He was truly happy helping others.  

In addition to his parents Stephen is survived by his wife of 24 years, Lidabeth Lorenzo Vega Craddick; daughter, Andrea Craddick; two brothers, Paul Craddick of Smyrna, Tennessee and Timothy Craddick of Linden, Tennessee; and his sister, Rachel Casey of Garden City, Michigan.

The family will receive friends at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at Wilde Lake Interfaith Center, 10431 Twin Rivers Road, Columbia, MD 21044 on Friday, July 7, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.  A Memorial Mass will be offered at 10:00a.m.  Committal service with Military Honors will be held at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 1122 Sunrise Beach Road, Crownsville, MD at 1:00 p.m.
