Sandra Wendler Smith

On 24 August 2019, Sandra Wendler Smith passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 78.  Born in Washington, D.C., Sandy was a resident of Odenton. She is the beloved wife of James J. Smith; loving step-mother of Miranda Riley and Theresa Mun. She was predeceased by her parents Edwin and Catherine Wendler.

Sandy enjoyed a career in the field of computers, and was responsible for the installation of computer systems and training the users. Later in life, she worked for JNJ until her retirement.

Sandy was a talented gymnast in her youth. Her father taught her to dance and she grew up a gifted ballroom dancer. She also enjoyed attending concerts; singing karaoke at Perry’s; and a wide range of music, movies and books.  She also loved taking long nature walks with her husband.

A Viewing for friends to say goodbye to Sandy will take place on Friday, August 30, 2019 at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD 21113 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
