Robert Charles Adams, 61, a resident of Odenton, MD, passed away on Thursday, August 03, 2017 at his home after a long battle with cancer. Bob was born on March 03, 1956 in Batavia, NY and is the son of Marguerite (Buck) Adams and the late Robert B. Adams.

Bob grew up in Elba, NY. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1976 to 1984, reaching the rank of Staff Sergeant.  The majority of his time was spent in the White House Communications Agency, earning a Presidential Service Badge. After leaving the Air Force, he worked as an Electronics Field Engineer for many years, recently retiring from Northrop Grumman. Since childhood, Bob enjoyed many outdoor activities and was an avid fly fisherman. He introduced many others to this pastime. Music was also a favorite hobby. He played the trumpet in his high school band, and continued learning new instruments throughout his life.  Above all else, Bob was always focused on his family and the time he spent with them.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Mary Joanne Ryan of Odenton, MD; two loving daughters, Heather Burns and husband, Robert of Ft. Mill, SC and Rachael Kelly and husband, Daniel of Columbia, MD; devoted sister, Nora Adams of Batavia, NY; five cherished grandchildren, Bennett and Emily Burns of Ft. Mill, SC and Corinne, Alanna and Fiona Kelly of Columbia, MD. Bob is preceded in death by his brother, Paul Adams.
