Robert Winfield Jacks, departed this life on Saturday, March 23, 2019, peacefully at home. Born January 3, 1954, in Calvert County, to Ella Jacks and the late Robert F. Jacks. He has been called home to meet the love of his life and wife, Diania Jacks who passed away February 14, 2017.
He was educated and served in the U.S. Army. He worked the majority of his life in the field of Maintenance/labor. He was affectionately known by family as "Shorty". Robert was a great mechanic who loved working on cars.
Robert is preceded in death by 4 sisters, Clarice Jacks, Bertina Jacks, Marie Jones and Catherine Johnson; brothers Albert, Milton, Clifton, Wilmer, Wilson and Edward Jacks. He leaves to cherish his fond memories, his mother Ella C. Jacks of North Beach, MD; sisters Nancy Jones, Delores Brown, Doris "Sue" Stepney, Mildred Jacks, Ethel Jacks and Geneva Coates; brothers Dannie Brown, Robert Jacks, Jr. III, Maurice Jacks, George Jacks, and James Jacks, Sr., children Elise Jackson, Tracy Jacks, Robert Jacks, Timothy Jacks, Kenyetta Smith, Torrita Jacks, 2 son in laws Derek Smith & Carlos Wells; 16 grandchildren Taylor Jones Washington, Derron Addison Jones, Trinity Antionette Waul, Roshawn Jacks, Shanell Jacks, Chanda Jacks, Antwan Smith, Derek Smith, Devin Smith, Alaya Wells, Lauren Randolph, London Wells, Janiah Randolph, Jacob Jacks, Dillian Jacks, Calea Lott; 2 great-grandchildren Wynter Rose Washington & Merrion Hughes Jr., a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
