Mary Lois (Ward) Wilson of Laurel, Maryland passed away surrounded by love on Monday, April 2, 2018. Mary, more commonly known as “Momma,” “Mom-Mom,” “Sis,”or “Aunt Mary;” was born on March 11, 1945 in a Amonate, Virginia to James “Ellis” and Cora Ward, (who preceded her in death). At the age of 16 she became a US Marine wife to her beloved, late husband Charles Wilson. They were married for 55 years at the time of his death, eight months ago. In her early years she managed a small family owned restaurant and then was the office manager of Miller Buick in Rockville, Maryland; before becoming a property manager for Southern Management Corporation, where she remained for over 20+ years and retired in 2006. Besides being a devoted wife, she was the most amazing Momma and best friend to Molly (Wilson) Bass, dedicated mother-in-law to Marc Bass, cherished Mom-Mom to Cole, Aidan and Ellison Bass. She was the oldest of 10 siblings; six brothers and her three loving sisters; Ocie Miller, Beulah Coddington, and the late Connie Snyder. She was a devoted aunt and great aunt, that cared for her nieces and nephews like they were her own children, and she love them very much. Mary cherished life and she loved to smile and laugh. She did things her own way, and her sarcasm and spitfire personality always put a smile on your face. She loved with her whole heart, cared deeply for her family and friends, and treasured her grand babies. She is irreplaceable, she will remain forever in our hearts, and missed tremendously!!
