Lauren T. Nguyen, a resident of Laurel, MD, passed away after succumbing to a stroke on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center. She was 78.
A native of Vietnam, Lauren lived most of her life in Vietnam and Cambodia where she owned and operated shoe stores. She immigrated to the United States in 1981. Lauren was a talented artist. In addition to art, she enjoyed music, politics, and current events.
Lauren is survived by seven loving children, daughters Anna Fedorkowicz (Joe), Kim Nguyen (Binh), Sheila Ly (Jimmy), PhoungDung Cao (Van), Hanh Nguyen (Son), Dr. Cindy Nguyen (Paul) and son Viet Nguyen. She is also survived by seven grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Nguyen Tuong Ngoc and Nguyen Thi Chat, her husband, Quynh T. Nguyen and two other daughters Hieu Thi Nguyen and Anh Thi Nguyen..
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at St Mary of the Mills Catholic Church, 114 St Marys Place, Laurel, MD 20707 at 11:00 am followed by Interment in the church cemetery.
