Ian Scott Custodio, age 13, passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2018, at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD, after a courageous yet short battle with cancer.
Ian was born on March 22, 2005 in Sioux Falls, SD, and was the son of Susan Fischer and Ariel Custodio. Ian was passionate and dedicated to soccer. He also enjoyed playing almost any sport you let him try, especially baseball and golf. Ian loved to snowboard, camp, fish, and to fill in the blank time he loved to play X-box. Ian was quiet but silly, observant yet an oblivious teenager, reserved until you caught his attention; he had a sharp, independent mind, which lent to an extreme stubbornness and a fierce competitive nature; Ian had an unexpected dry and witty though laugh-at-life sense of humor; and he loved his family. People were drawn to Ian both at school and on the pitch, as he made friends quickly and earned their respect and friendship by displaying hard work, leadership and loyalty.
Along with his parents, Ian is survived by his loving brother, Sawyer; cherished sister, Alleree; devoted maternal grandparents, Pamela and David Fischer, loving paternal grandparents, Cecilia and Pedro Custodio; caring aunts and uncles, Anna, Jon, Sara, Jason, Evangeline, Victor, Peterjun, Constante; kind cousins, Hailee, Cambell, Alan, Dallas, Vince, Vanessa, Valerie, Jhon, Faith, Maria Cecilia (MC); and his Liverpool Football Club International Academy America, Maryland, Teammates and Coaches.
The family will receive friends at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, Md 21113 on Friday, April 6, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 pm. Interment will be private.
