On March 31, 2019, Antoinette Constantine (nee Kouroyen) passed away peacefully at her home in Bethesda at the age of 108. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Antoinette graduated from the Boston State Teachers College and taught in the Boston Public School system. She was a longtime active member of Saints Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church in D.C. and enjoyed volunteering and vising at St. Elizabeth’s in DC. Antoinette enjoyed her flower garden, traveling, her charitable work, yoga and water aerobics well into her nineties. Most especially, she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children James Constantine Jr., Paulina Masick, Philip Constantine, and George Theodore Constantine; her 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Antoinette was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, James Constantine and her siblings Alexander, Socrates, and Kimon Kouroyen and Lydia Karagianis.
