Timothy Jones Cannon

Timothy Jones Cannon, a resident of Baltimore, MD, unexpectedly passed away on May 28, 2023. He was 56 years old. Timothy was born on March 5, 1967 in Detroit, MI, and was the son of Mary Hairston Cannon and the late Vernon Raphael Cannon.

Timothy spent part of his childhood in Detroit, where he was surrounded by his grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins. In 1979, his family moved to Randolph, New Jersey. In New Jersey, Timothy attended Randolph Junior High School and Randolph High School, where he was the senior class president, an exceptional trumpet player, and a vital member of the Randolph High School marching band. After high school graduation, Tim matriculated to his beloved Penn State University, where he pledged Phi Kappa Theta in 1986 and then received a Bachelors of Science in Business.

After graduation from Penn State University, Tim lived in New Jersey, California, Oregon and eventually settled in Maryland. In Maryland, he worked for T. Rowe Price as a Senior Business Systems Analyst. In 2007, his pride and joy, Brandon Timothy Cannon, was born. Timothy had a great sense of humor and loved life. He enjoyed day trading, camping, carpentry and barbecuing. Like his father, he loved going to Home Depot. He was active in his church, Faith Christian Fellowship. His faith was very important to him. The following quote was recently found in his journal, “Yes. I’m a Christian. I believe that Jesus is the son of God, who laid down his life for my sins.” Despite the struggles in his life, Timothy knew Jesus was his Saviour and prayed consistently.

Timothy is survived by his beloved son, Brandon Timothy Cannon; loving siblings, Walter Todd Cannon (Alejandra), Vernon Terence Cannon (Anita) and Khara Cannon Chike (Ikechi Nigel); and cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.

We know Tim is watching over us from Heaven and having barbecue rib competitions with his dad. We love him and miss him dearly.
