On October 27, 2020, Barbara A. Casterline of Glen Burnie, Formerly of New Carrollton, MD., passed away peacefully at home at the age of 80. Cherished daughter of Willard Achuff (deceased) and Charlotte (Achuff) Bulevicz (deceased). Beloved wife of Arnold P. Casterline Sr. (deceased); devoted mother of Arnold P. Casterline Jr. (Susanne M. Casterline) and Sheri A. Beall (William Beall); loving sister of Wilma Swiontek (deceased) and Willard Achuff; cherished grandmother of Danny Rogers Jr., Lauren Beall, Kristen Beall, Ashley Beall, Sara Beall, Lynette Morissette (deceased), Patrick Morissette (deceased), and Kenneth Morissette (Caitlin Morissette): beloved Great Grandmother of Anja Stende, Isaiah Barnacz, and Oliver Morissette.
Born in Wilkes Barre Pennsylvania, Barbara is a 1958 graduate of G.A.R. Memorial high school. Arnold and Barbara were married on November 11, 1961. Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad! Barbara grew up in a small town where everyone looked out for each other and carried on that same tradition. Barbara always had coffee already on, tea by request and a fridge full of leftovers. Barbara loved company and made everyone feel welcome. She loved everyone and made sure you knew it with her big smiles and great big HUGS! Barbara loved to knit, crochet, bowl, and make flower arrangements for all occasions. Barbara would search for the perfect pine cones to make Christmas wreaths for friends and family. Her wedding arrangements were gorgeous (just ask us). Barbara went back to work after raising Sheri and Arnie. She was employed by Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission to work with the Boys and Girls club registration where she would eventually retire.
Barbara will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Although our hearts are heavy, we are all blessed to have had her in our lives. Her loving nature and big smile will be forever embedded in our memories.
In Lieu of Flowers please consider making donations to the Hospice of the Chesapeake in the name of Barbara Casterline. They aided in Mom’s care since April. Hospice was integral in our ability to care for Mom and keep her comfortable at home where she wanted to be.
