Virginia Lee Nicholson “Jenny” went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 6, 2017. Jenny was born in Baltimore, Maryland to the late William Raymond Nicholson Sr. and the late Opal Virginia Nicholson (nee Stapleton).  Jenny was the cherished sister of the late William Raymond Nicholson Jr.; and is survived by her sister, Patricia Kay Nicholson of Mt. Airy, Maryland along with several nephews and nieces.

Jenny’s early years growing up were spent in Greensburg, Kansas where her parents were born and raised before moving back to the Baltimore area.  Jenny has been a long time resident of Arnold, Maryland having lived there for over 35 years.

Jenny graduated from Anne Arundel Community College and went on to get her BA in Communication/Management from the University of Maryland.  In the 1970’s and 80’s Jenny worked for Westinghouse Electric Corporation at their BWI facility in Linthicum. For the last dozen years Jenny worked for Computer Sciences Corporation most recently in the Columbia area as a Senior Test Engineer. She enjoyed her job and the people she worked with.

Jenny enjoyed living in Maryland. She loved to crab on the Bay and fish at Romancoke on the Eastern Shore.

Another favorite was Ocean City, Maryland where she had a second home in Ocean Pines for several years.

However, her most favorite thing was dancing. The girl could dance; whether it was the Jitterbug or the Hustle and even the Moon Walk that Michael Jackson made popular.

Jenny will be remembered for her faith, love of family and kindness to animals. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh. Jenny was beautiful inside and out.  She was such a pretty girl.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Glen Haven Memorial Park in the Garden of Good Shepard.

For GOD so loved the world that he gave his only begotten SON, that whoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
