I was very sad to hear belatedly of the passing of Stephen Craddick whom I knew as CTR1 Craddick when I served with him aboard the USS Fife (DD-991) from Jul. 89 to Aug 91. He was our watch supervisor and I came to think of him as a good friend above a shipmate. Fair Winds and Following Seas Stephen.

Stephen,

Thanks for always making me laugh at work, your unparalleled work ethic, the reporting debates we'd have, and--most of all--your friendship. I will always cherish the times we had together, my friend. We last hung out during my TDY to Maryland on 25 May; I will always remember that day and I look forward to hanging out when we meet again in the afterlife.

To your wife and daughter who I never met: Stephen always talked highly of you both. Know that he was a great example at work and a great friend to all those around him. May God bless you both during this difficult time.

R.I.P., Stephen.

Lety, Julio, Wendy, Irving y Julio

My condolences and sympathy to Steve's Family. I knew Steve as "Crash" in the Navy, he was one of my first friends when I arrived as a young man in Keflavik, Iceland. We shared some good times there and through the years, even if we were physically apart. I loved his sense of humor, his intelligence, and how he always had a very nice spirit and light about him. Rest in peace, Crash, and fair winds and following winds my friend.

My deepest condolences with the family at this time of loss. Stephen left an impression on everyone he met and could always be seen cheerful and focused on the positive and upbeat side of things. I remember his enthusiasm when he joined my team, it seems so long ago and in other ways, just like yesterday. I pray that angels of light will shroud him in sweet peace as he meets his Heavenly Father to be told the words, my son, well done, enter into thy sweet rest. For anyone struggling or feeling alone dealing with his loss, I offer my condolences and my open arms. We lost another one of God's treasured gifts. Rest in peace Steve.

Steve was a terrific Sailor, well liked and very respected. I had the pleasure and honor of serving with him for only a short time in Panama but he made a big impact. My condolences to the family and those closest to him. In the name of your son, Jesus Christ, please Lord, receive Steve's spirit into your loving embrace. Until we met again my friend...
