On Tuesday, April 17, 2018, Sharon Peacock-Nelson of Odenton, formerly of Prince George’s County, passed away after a brief illness. Sharon is survived by her husband, Charles Nelson, of Odenton and many family members, friends and beloved pets.
Sharon was born and raised in Prince George’s County, Maryland and attended Prince George’s High School. She and the love of her life, Charles Nelson were married December 16, 1990 and lived for many happy years in Odenton, Maryland. Sharon was a self-employed business woman who later devoted herself full-time to caring for, rescuing and loving all types of animals, particularly cats. She and her husband founded and ran a cat rescue group, PATH (Paw Prints Across The Heart) for many years; firmly believing that all animals deserved a loving home. They fostered many cats over the years and placed hundreds in good homes. In addition to devoting herself to animals, Sharon enjoyed classic country music.
Sharon is preceded in death by her adored Son, Joseph A. Peacock, (8/1/1967-12/17/2004), her parents, Peggy Bell (Johnson), William Bell Sr. and her brother William Bell Jr. She will be missed by her loving husband, step-children, grandchildren and many pets.
The family will receive friends at Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD 21113 on Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. where a funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Sharon will be laid to rest next to her Son at Epiphany Episcopal Church Cemetery in Odenton, MD after a brief graveside blessing.
