Howard Milton Dillard of Severn, MD passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2017. Howard was born on February 16, 1932 in Virginia and was the son of the late Willie and Loula Dillard.
Howard served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Army, Company A 23rd Infantry Regiment during the Korean War. He also served his community for over 30 years as an Anne Arundel County Police Reserve Officer. His hobbies included; working in his woodshop, along with his vegetable garden and one of his specialties was making BLT sandwiches for his family that he loved.
Howard is survived by his three sons, Joseph H. Dillard, Sr. and his wife Beth, Matthew S. Dillard and his wife Marianne and David H. Dillard and his wife Teresa; three siblings, Thelma Randall, Theodore Dillard and Barbara Thomas; six grandchildren, Rebecca, Douglas, Christine, Joseph, Jr., Jessica and Justin and five great grandchildren, Alannah, Ella, Davin, Reagan and Korbin.
In addition to his parents Howard was preceded in death by his loving wife, Rita A. Dillard and three siblings; Emmitt W. Dillard, Hazel E. Eubank and Evelyn E. Embrey.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 19, 2017 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1411 Annapolis Road Odenton, MD 21113 where a funeral service will be held on Monday, November 20, 2017 at 11:00am. Interment services will be private.
