On November 20, 2015, Dr. Desh Deepak Chadha passed away at the age of 74. Born in Gujranwala, Pakistan, he lived in Columbia, Maryland, since 1977. He is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years Shashi Chadha; his beloved children Sonia and Derwin Marks of Bethesda and Rahul Chadha of Brooklyn, NY; his caring siblings Vidya B. Chadha, Usha Sabarawal, Dharam V. Chadha and Asha Suri; and his cherished granddaughter Devika Marks. He is survived by many loving family members and dear friends. He was predeceased by his parents Roshan Lal and Prakash Wati Chadha and his sister Anjana Aurora. Dr. Chadha worked in new business development, most recently for Westvaco. He volunteered at the Columbia Action Council of Howard County as the Director of Development, and also volunteered as a health coach at various healthcare facilities. He also enjoyed teaching children at Bala Vihar classes at the Chinmaya Mission Washington where he volunteered for the past 15 years. His life was one dedicated to service, gaining knowledge and actively giving back to his community.
