I was saddened to hear of Dan's passing. I worked with him many years ago in Hyattsville and Beltsville.

As said in his obituary, Dan was a very dependable employee who drew respect from his fellow employees. One thing not mentioned in his obituary was that Dan was a shrewd investor. When the federal government opened up an IRA plan (Thrift Savings Plan) for its employees, Dan is the one who talked me into it. He said Charlie, whenever you receive a pay increase you're crazy if you don't put part of that increase into your TSP and you won't be disappointed. I listened and I wasn't disappointed.
I offer my prayers and condolences to his family during this difficult period in their lives. Dan will surely be missed.
