Barbara Patricia Dorsey

Barbara Patricia Dorsey was born on May 31, 1939 in Baltimore, Maryland. She passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 14, 2019 at the age of 80. She married William Robert Dorsey in 1962. To this union 2 children were born.

After graduating from Morgan State University in 1964, Barbara worked as a teacher for Baltimore City Public Schools and Anne Arundel County Public Schools before retiring.  After retirement, Barbara worked part-time for Macy’s department store. She enjoyed traveling, shopping and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Lucy Johnson and her husband William Dorsey.

A beloved Mother and Granna, is survived by daughter, Kim Dorsey of Sterling, Virginia; son, Kent Dorsey (Pamela) and cherished grandsons Eric and Aaron all of Alexandria, Virginia as well as a host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends and relatives during visitation at 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM in the home chapel at Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, Maryland on Thursday, June 27th.  The funeral service follows at 12:00 PM
