Agnes “Aggie” Bernice Hoffman of Grasonville, MD passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at her sister’s residence in Mount Airy, MD, at the age of 64. Aggie was born on April 27, 1952 in Washington, DC to James L. Payne and Christina L. (Ford) Payne.
Aggie had remarkable talents when it came to crafting, baking, sewing, or any other type of creative endeavor. She could just look at anything from countertops to Christmas ornaments to gorgeous cakes and recreate them. Anyone who knew her could not wait to see what project she was going to start next. Aggie found her peace listening to the waterfall sounds from her pool, staring at the incredible tropical landscape she created, crabbing, boating or fishing. Our family like many of yours was forever changed by cancer, Aggie will be truly missed.
In addition to her parents Aggie is survived by her three sons, John R. Newman, II and his wife, Nicole, Jason C. Newman and Daniel P. Griffin; four grandchildren, Logan, Mikaela, Maura and Brennan; two sisters, Deborah A. Mahon and Katrina Malloy and four brothers, James Payne, Robert Payne, William Payne and Patrick Payne.
Family and Friends will gather at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD 21113 on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., funeral services will follow at 4:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
